As a collaborative member of the Florida State Epilepsy Services Program, authorized by Florida Statutes 385.207(2)(a) and administered by the Florida Department of Health, Epilepsy Services of Southwest Florida plays a vital role in providing essential education and referral services to individuals diagnosed with epilepsy across the state. Through this program, we ensure that any Florida resident affected by epilepsy has access to the necessary support and resources. Additionally, for individuals with a gross family income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty income guidelines, certain medical services are offered free of charge, ensuring equitable access to care for those in need.

The Florida Department of Health represents the vision that health belongs to everyone and every group — not just a state agency. It takes individuals, families, communities, and partnerships with local and state-level policy makers and stakeholders to create a culture of health in Florida.
